Debra Thompson Wins PrintImage International Industry Award of DIstinction

Tucson, AZ, April 2003-- At the recent PrintImage International annual meeting in Las Vegas, Debra Thompson, president of TG & Associates, received the PrintImage International 2003 Industry Award of Distinction. First presented in 1987, this important award is bestowed on an educator, supplier, member of the trade press or other non-printer who has supported and advanced the quick and small commercial printing industry. Since 1995, Debra Thompson has provided speaking, consulting, services and products to help owners and managers in the printing industry find, develop and retain top performing employees. A business owner in the graphics industry for more than 25 years, Thompson combines graphics experience with a thorough knowledge of human resources tools and processes. Her unique ability to work with people is renowned throughout the graphics industry. Thompson, who says winning the award took her completely by surprise, commented that the response she receives from her work is reward enough. "I've been immersed in the printing industry for more than 25 years and it is like a big family to me."

Thompson is the creator of Thompson's Ten Principles for Success, a model for reaching the highest achievement in your business and personal life. A columnist for numerous trade publications, she also is the author of The Forgotten Customer and Thompson's How To Hire, Develop and Retain Top Performers. A recognized expert within the graphics and imaging industry on human resource matters, Thompson's natural ability to bring out the best in people has been successfully demonstrated over the years in her consulting services, seminars, team building workshops and insightful products.

Commenting on the award, Thompson observed, "While my consulting work brings me in contact with businesses in other industries, I feel most comfortable in the printing industry. I believe that I really understand printers and can definitely relate to their issues and goals."


PrintImage International Announces Winners of the 2003 Association Awards

CHICAGO, IL, NOVEMBER 2002—PrintImage International—formerly the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) is pleased to announce the winnersof the 2003 Association Awards. Beginning in October, the PrintImage International Awards Committee solicited for nominations for the association’s top honors for 2003. The committee found it difficult to decide considering the many qualified candidates among the PrintImage membership, but the following winners proved to be the best of the best.

These winners will be presented with a crystal award bearing their name on March 1, 2003 during the 2003 Annual Conference, to be held in Las Vegas, NV, February 28 – March 5.
